Shipping Claims - Managing Line Items

The shipping claim review page is where your team evaluates a customer’s shipping protection request, adjusts the items tied to the claim, and finalizes the resolution. This article covers how to add and remove line items on a shipping protection claim before it is finalized.

When you open a shipping claim in the Corso Admin, the page shows a Line Items card. The card heading reflects the claim’s resolution method — for example, “Reorder Line Items”. Each item on the claim is listed there with its image, name, SKU, quantity, and variant options.

You can modify the line items on any claim that has not yet been finalized. Once a claim is finalized, the line items are locked and cannot be changed.

  1. Open the shipping claim you want to edit.
  2. In the Line Items card, click the + (Add line item) button in the upper-right corner of the card.
  3. The Add Line Item modal opens. If the claim already has line items, a Quick Search section appears at the top listing those items. Click the search icon next to any item to pre-fill the product search with that item’s name.
  4. Use the product search to find the variant you want to add. Select the variant and adjust the quantity.
  5. Click Add to save the line item to the claim.

The modal closes and the line item appears in the Line Items card.

  1. Open the shipping claim you want to edit.
  2. In the Line Items card, locate the item you want to remove.
  3. Click the trash icon to the right of the line item.
  4. A confirmation dialog appears asking “Are you sure you want to remove this line item from the claim?”
  5. Click Remove to confirm, or Cancel to go back.

The line item is removed from the claim immediately.

Once the line items are correct, click Finalize Claim in the page header to issue the resolution. After finalization, the claim is locked and the line items can no longer be changed.
