Creating Warranty Claims in the Corso Admin

The Corso Admin allows you to create warranty claims directly, without requiring customers to file through the portal. This is especially useful when you are already in communication with a customer and know the details of their issue. By creating claims directly, you save time for both your team and the customer, while keeping everything tracked within Corso.

With direct claim creation in the Corso Admin, you can:

  • Quickly file a warranty claim without using the customer portal
  • Save customers from extra steps and provide a smoother experience
  • Update customer and shipping information on the spot
  • Keep claim creation transparent in the timeline for full visibility
  • Manage resolutions (refunds, replacements, repairs) directly after creating the claim

There are two main ways to locate the customer order before creating a claim:

  • Order Lookup on the Warranties Page: Enter the customer’s email or order number.
  • Quick Search (Preferred Method): Use the global search bar at the top of any page. Enter the order number to quickly pull up the customer’s order for verification.
  1. Select the correct order from the lookup or search results.
  2. Choose the Warranty Claim option.
  3. Edit customer or shipping information if needed.
  4. Select the item(s) involved in the claim and set the quantity.
  5. Provide the reason for the claim (example: “Defect – broke with minimal use”).
  6. Submit the claim.

Once created, the claim will appear in the timeline with a note showing that it was created by your team rather than the customer.

After submission, you can:

  • Review the claim in the timeline
  • Decide on a resolution method (refund, repair, replacement, etc.)
  • Finalize the resolution directly in the admin

This same functionality is also available for returns and shipping protection claims, giving you flexibility to handle any claim type directly in the admin.

Q: Can customers still file claims on their own?
Yes. Customers can continue to use the portal, but admin-created claims provide a faster option when you already have the details.

Q: Will the customer know if I created the claim?
Yes. The timeline will clearly show that the claim was created by the brand on the customer’s behalf.

Q: Can I create other types of claims besides warranties?
Yes. The same process applies to returns and shipping protection claims.

Q: Can I edit a claim after creating it?
Yes. You can update customer information, claim details, and resolutions at any point after creation.
