Registration Sales Channels

Registration sales channels in Corso allow you to track where a product was originally purchased. This is especially useful when purchases are made outside of your Shopify store, such as through retail locations, marketplaces, or third-party websites. By setting up sales channels, you ensure that customer registrations include accurate purchase information that can be leveraged in your workflows.

Sales channels give you clear visibility into the source of a customer’s purchase and make it easier to:

  • Collect accurate data on where your products are sold.
  • Provide a smoother registration experience for customers, who can easily select their purchase location.
  • Use purchase location data within your rules, such as determining whether a product qualifies for a warranty.
  • Validate and track registrations from both online and offline sales.

  1. In your registration settings, navigate to the Channels section.
  2. Add any purchase locations you want to track (e.g., Amazon, Target, retail stores, other online platforms).
  3. Simply type the location name, add it to your list, and save.
  • During registration, customers will see a dropdown labeled Original Purchase Location.
  • They can search and select from the list of channels you’ve created.
  • Once selected, the purchase location becomes part of their registration record.
  • Channels can be referenced in your registration rules to determine eligibility for returns, exchanges, or warranties.
  • This ensures policies and workflows account for where the product was purchased.
