Estimated Delivery Date Functionality
Overview
Section titled “Overview”Corso’s Estimated Delivery Date functionality allows you to display accurate delivery timeframes directly within your shipping rates at checkout. By customizing these estimates, you give customers a clear expectation of when their order will arrive, which helps build confidence and increases conversion.
This feature works seamlessly within Corso Shipping Plus, where you can configure shipping zones, rates, and modifications. Delivery estimates can be applied to any rate and tailored by conditions such as order details, customer information, or product categories.
What You Can Expect
Section titled “What You Can Expect”By using Estimated Delivery Dates, your brand can:
- Build trust with customers by showing clear and reliable delivery ranges during checkout.
- Differentiate shipping options (e.g., Standard vs Express) with unique timelines.
- Improve operational accuracy with settings for cut-off times and holidays.
- Run experiments by testing variations in shipping rates and delivery windows through Corso Intelligence.
- Offer full flexibility with customizable conditions that allow delivery estimates to adapt to different products, customers, or order scenarios.
Key Features and Functionality
Section titled “Key Features and Functionality”Checkout Display
Section titled “Checkout Display”Delivery estimates can appear in two places:
- Shipping rate description (directly under the rate name).
- Corso extension widget at checkout.
Customers can clearly compare options like:
- Standard Plus (3–7 business days)
- Express Plus (2–4 business days)
Rate Setup
Section titled “Rate Setup”- Create multiple shipping rates (e.g., Standard Plus, Express Plus).
- Attach delivery estimates to each rate, customizing the date range or cost structure.
- Optionally include Corso’s Delivery Guarantee (shipping protection) within the rate itself.
Estimate Configuration
Section titled “Estimate Configuration”Choose between:
- Custom ranges (e.g., 3–7 business days).
- Carrier-provided estimates (using real-time carrier timelines).
Additional settings:
- Cut-off times (e.g., orders after noon shift to the next business day).
- Exclude holidays from delivery windows.
- Assign each estimate to one or more shipping rates.
Conditional Logic
Section titled “Conditional Logic”Apply delivery dates based on:
- Customer information (location, group, etc.).
- Order details (value, contents).
- Product information (categories, attributes).
Use test groups (via Corso Intelligence) to run experiments with different delivery estimates or rates.
Management
Section titled “Management”- Multiple delivery estimate rules can be created and toggled on/off.
- Each rule can be named and reviewed for quick adjustments.
- Rules can be layered for specific scenarios, giving you flexibility without external partners or tools.
Implementation
Section titled “Implementation”Setup for Estimated Delivery Dates is managed inside Corso Shipping Plus. You’ll create rate modifications, add conditions, and assign estimates to your shipping rates.

Q: Can I show different delivery dates for different shipping zones?
Yes. Each shipping zone can have its own rates and delivery estimates.
Q: Do customers see holidays factored into the estimates?
Yes. Any holidays you configure will be excluded from the estimated timeframe.
Q: Can I test different shipping promises before rolling them out?
Yes. Through Corso Intelligence, you can apply test groups to delivery estimate rules.
Q: Is shipping protection required with delivery dates?
No. Protection can be bundled into a rate or left optional for customers to toggle on/off.
