Using the New Automations Experience in Corso

Corso’s new Automations experience introduces powerful tools to manage rules with more visibility, flexibility, and control. Whether you’re reviewing rules by event or building new workflows, this update makes automation easier to understand and configure.


Overview of Views

You now have three main views for managing Automations:

1. Flow View (New)

Visualize your automations across key moments in the customer journey:

  • Events include: Order Lookup, Claim Reason Selection, Exchange Product Selection, Return Shipment Quoted, etc.
  • View rules by event: See which automations are triggered at each step.
  • Set priority within events: Drag and drop to control rule order within the same event (e.g. which rules run first during “Order Lookup”).
  • Inline editing: Click a rule to view its conditions, duplicate, delete, or turn it on/off.
  • Add new rules: Click “Add Automation” at the bottom of any section to insert a rule for that event.

2. List View

Manage all rules in a simple list:

  • Search and filter by rule type or event.
  • Toggle between enabled rules and all rules.
  • Click a rule to view, edit, or jump to its position in the Flow View.

3. Templates View

Quickly build new automations using pre-built templates:

  • Examples include: “Make items final sale”, “Waive fees for VIP customers”, or “Block exchanges for international orders.”
  • Select a template to pre-fill a rule and customize as needed.

Creating a Rule

From any view, click “Create” to start a new automation:

  • Search by event or rule type (e.g. “rate modification,” “tag original order”).
  • Select your desired rule type and follow the builder to configure it.

  • Improved prioritization: Control execution order within each event, avoiding confusion.
