A shipping policy lets you decide where a customer should return an item to and whether they get a shipping label or a packing slip
In order to start using Corso for returns, exchanges, or warranties, you must setup at least one shipping policy. A shipping policy is made up of Return Locations and Return Shipping Policy Automations. Locations are used to determine where items are shipped to, and the automations determine whether to offer a shipping label or packing slip.
Return Locations
Merchants can add as many return locations as needed within the Corso Admin. These locations represent the physical address where customers can ship returns.
Return Shipping Policy Automations
Powered by Corso Automations, Return locations can be leveraged within Return Shipping Policy Automations to determine whether to offer a packing slip or return label based on select conditions (i.e. customer country, customer information, order information, etc).
How to Create a Shipping Policy Automation
- Name - Enter a short name describing the rule (i.e. US or Domestic for a policy that only applies to the US)
- Return Location - Select the location you want return shipments that fall under this policy to be sent to
- Return Methods - Choose the return method you'll offer for this particular policy (label, packing slip or both)
- Conditions - Add any necessary conditions in order to ensure the shipping policy is applied as intended
- In the example below we use the Order Country condition is United States in order to create a United States Shipping Policy.
- Save the Rule - Once the rule is saved, we always recommend placing a test order to ensure it's working as intended
